Kungiyar Tarayyar Turai EU da gwamnatin tarayya da kuma hukumar ci gaban masana’antu ta majalisar Dinkin Duniya, sun yi kira da a ɗauki matakan gaggawa domin kawo ƙarshen asarar abinci tare da inganta tsarin amfani da albarkatu domin tabbatar da dorewa.
A wata sanarwa da ofishin EU a Najeriya da ECOWAS suka fitar sun bayyana cewa duk lokacin da aka lalata abinci, ana kuma lalata ruwa, makamashi da ƙoƙarin da aka yi wajen samar da shi, wanda hakan ke ƙara haifar da sauyin yanayi da kuma kawo cikas ga ƙoƙarin duniya na samar da tsarin amfani da albarkatu ba tare da asara ba.
Da yake jawabi a Abuja yayin bikin ranar magance barnar abubuwa, Mataimakin Jakadan EU a Najeriya, Zissimos Vergos, ya ce Najeriya na rasa kimanin ton miliyan 38 na abinci a kowacce shekara, mafi yawa a nahiyar Afirka.
Ya ƙara da cewa a shekarar 2022 kaɗai, an lalata kusan ton biliyan ɗaya na abinci a duniya, wanda kusan kashi ɗaya cikin biyar na duk abincin da ake samu ne.
A cewarsa, wannan ba kawai asarar abinci ba ce, illa lalata muhimmiyar dukiya da kuma rasa damar yaƙar yunwa tare da barazana ga lafiyar duniya.
Ya kuma bayyana cewa asarar abinci na taka rawa wajen lalata muhalli, inda take haifar da kusan kashi 10 na hayakin da ke dumama duniya da kuma kusan kashi 40 na hayakin methane.
Vergos ya jaddada cewa Najeriya na ɗaukar matakai kamar ƙirƙirar tsarin tattalin arziki na Circular Economy Roadmap da kafa kwamitin haɗin gwiwa na ma’aikatun gwamnati domin rage sharar gida.
Ya kuma bayar da shawarwari uku da za su taimaka wadanda suka hada da zuba jari, karfafa sarrafa kayan gona zuwa kayayyakin kasuwa kamar tumatur da fulawa da kuma sanya koyar da rage sharar gida a cikin manhajar makarantu.
A nasa jawabin, Ministan Muhalli, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, ya jaddada aniyar gwamnati na kare muhalli da inganta rayuwar yan ƙasa.
Ya ce asarar abinci babbar matsala ce da ke shafar tattalin arziki da al’umma inda duk abincin da aka zubar yana nufin asarar albarkatu kamar ruwa, makamashi da kuɗi.
Haka kuma, ya bayyana cewa ma’aikatar muhalli ta fara aiwatar da wasu shirye-shirye domin rage asarar abinci musamman a kasuwanni.
