Malam Abba Dabo

Chairman of Prenier Radio KAno

An administrator politician, a versatile journalist and publisher was born in March 21, 1952 He hails from Dambatta in Kano State Nigeria. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1974- 1977) from where he graduated with an honors degree in Economics. He then joined the New Nigerian Newspapers Limited, in 1979 as the paper's Economic Correspondent and rose to become Editor of both the Sunday New Nigerian and the Gaskiya tafi Kwabo. While serving with New Nigerian Newspapers, Mallam Abba Dabo was appointed, in 1983, as th Chief Press Secretary to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alh. Shehu Shagari. He served in that capacity until the coup that toppled the Shagari government in 1984 after which he returned to the New Nigerian briefly before moving to his native Kano where he was appointed the Managing Director of Triumph Publishing Company Ltd, publishers of the Triumph, Alfijir and Albishir newspapers. With another change of government, Mallam Dabo ventured into politics and was appointed the Secretary to Government (SSG) of Kano State. He was then called to serve at the National level with his appointment as Special Advisor to the Head of State on National Assembly Liaison by the Interim Government of Chief Ernest Shonekan. Mallam Abba Dabo has served on the Boards of many companies and government agencies. * He was appointed by President Olusegun Obasanjo as the Chairman of Nigerian Petroleum Development Company- a subsidiary of the then Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) responsible for the production and exploration of oil where he served from 2003 to 2007. *Mallam Abba Dabo was later appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) - a Government Research and Policy Formulation Centre for Foreign Policy in 2006. He served in that capacity for three years until he was made Chairman of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) in 2006. Mallam Abba Dabo made other significant contributions in the academia and political sector. He served as a member of council for many years in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and also served as an elected member of the Constituent Assembly charged with drafting Nigeria's constitution. In active politics he was also elected the Chairman of Liberal Convention, a political association in Nigeria, which along with other political associations became the precursor of the Peoples Democratic Party, the PDP. He served the party in many capacities including becoming the Director, Media and Publicity of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the party. And its Deputy National Chairman,(North). President Goodluck Jonathan appointed him in 2012 as the Special Advisor to the President on political matters in the Office of the Vice President, where he served for four years. In retirement Mallam Dabo went back to journalism where he established Premier Radio 102.7FM in Kano State and he is now serving as its Chairman. He is happily married with children.

He is a self-starter, a dedicated software engineer, and a results- and goal-driven individual with a profound passion for software development and cloud computing. Possessing intermediate software development skills, he has a solid foundation in computer science with years of experience. Demonstrating excellence in problem-solving, he pays strong attention to detail and exhibits a drive for continuous learning and professional growth. Born on May 27, 1997, he hails from Ungogo Local Government in Kano State, Nigeria. He attended Federal University Dutse, Jigawa (2018 - 2022), graduating with an honors degree in Computer Science. In 2023, he joined Tenet Education Hub as a developer for https://www.aboki.ng, serving as a webmaster and product marketing manager. During his tenure at Tenet Education Hub, Ibrahim Abdullahi was appointed as the IT Officer for Premier Radio Kano 102.7 FM. After two months in this role, he earned a promotion to the position of Secretary to the Chairman of Premier Radio Kano and Secretary to the Admin Officer while maintaining his primary responsibility as the IT Officer. He is a member of Google Developers Group Kano, Google Developer Group Jigawa, Spark Community Facebook, NASA Space App, National Association of Computer Science, and CS50 Community. He holds Cs50x Introduction to Computer Science certificate and CS50p Introduction to Python from Harvard University. He is happily single and ready to mingle.

Nasiru Idris Ibrahim is a farmer, After graduating from the federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Zamfara State, He started his engineering journey at Sharada Small scale Industries as an operator and also an engineer of Oil Mill Machine, from 2016 to 2017. also a manager of Hanan Vegetables Oil from 2017 to 2018. He started broadcast engineering at Freedom Radio 99.5fm kano as an assistant technical officer from 2018 to 2021 Also a presenter of Duniyar Kimiyya and Co-Presenter of Dala aKarkara Program at Freedom Radio and Dala FM respectively and currently, he is working at Premier Radio 102.7fm Kano as a technical officer and Also a Presenter of Mukoyi Sa'a Program

Adamu Isyaku Salihu

Engineer

adamu isyaku salihu worked with Bally plastic & footwear nigeria plc from 2008 to 2021 as the Head of electrical engineering and he is currently working as an technical officer in premier Radio from November 2021 till date.

Shehu Usman Salihu

Head of On-Air Personality

Shehu Usman Salihu is an On-air personality, Producer, and Presenter of Matasa at Premier (Youth Focus Programme) at Premier Radio FM 102.7 Kano. Usman Salihu has 11 years’ experience in broadcasting with over 13 years’ experience in ICT working with ICT-based CSO (Centre for Information Technology and Development) on ICT research, advocacy, training etc. Holds the position of Programmes Assistant New Media from 2011 - 2018. Shehu Usman obtained a certificate of professional Diploma in Mass Communication at Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies in 2012, Studied Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) at Bayero University, Kano 2011, and B.An International Studies at Northwest University, Kano 2012 - 2016 respectively. Usman Presented so many enlightenment programs at different Media Stations (Mu Koyi Kwamfuta da Sana’o’i & DCA) at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano 2011 – 2013, (A Kasa a Faifai) at Freedom Radio Kano 2014 – 2016 and DCA at Radio Nigeria Pride FM Gusau during NYSC 2017 – 2018 in Zamfara State, Sansanin Matasa & DCA at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano 2018, Fasahar Zamani (ICT), Duniyar Matasa Programmes and headed the DCA unit at Vision FM 92.5 Kano 2018 – 2020, Duniyar Fasaha, DCA & ICT officer in 2020 at Nasara Radio 98.5 FM Kano, Senior OAP at Liberty Radio 103.3 FM Kano 2021. Shehu has attended many seminars and conferences as well as covered assignments in Nigeria. In 2020, Shehu was one of the journalists who benefited from Capacity-building training on the Aid Connect project of BBC Media Action's need for journalists to produce programs that would increase the number of persons living with disabilities who are able to secure gainful and satisfactory employment within Nigeria’s formal sector organization.

Mohammed Aminu is a skilled engineer, administrator, banker, and broadcaster. He was also a prominent figure in the Northern Nigeria broadcasting industry, popularly known by his fans by the nickname "Jolly" from the time he hosted the famous Jolly Good Show on Radio Kano II FM Stereo as a Presenter and Producer. His work spanned over 30 years.

Samira Adnan started her media journey as a freelance writer on Radio Kano's "Morning Talk Show" in 2001. She later joined Kano State Radio Corporation in 2002 as an artist/program presenter/D.C.A. After graduating from Bayero University with a B.A. in Mass Communications in 2008, she served as a NYSC with Visafone Communications Ltd. as a Customer Care Representative.

Muhammad Bello Dabai

Born in 1996, Muhammad Bello Dabai started his journalism career in 2017 at a radio station in Kano State as an IT student from Bayero University, Kano. He was later employed as a casual staff member at the same radio station, Aminci Radio Kano. After his graduation from university in 2019, Dabai immediately got an offer to work with Sawaba FM Hadejia in Jigawa State as a reporter and newscaster

Bello Sani is a software engineer with over 17 years working in the IT Industry in various capacities. He holds a bachelor's level degree from OpenClassrooms France where he majored in Frontend Web Development and Leads a Global Tech Community of Developers. Bello Sani is currently the CEO of Trask Global and the Founder of the Athena Project aimed at revolutionizing education in Nigeria using tech.
