Khalil was born in Kano State, Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary education at Kano Capital School before pursuing higher studies at the International University of Africa in Sudan.
There, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Conflict and Human Security, laying the foundation for his academic and professional journey.
During his time in Sudan, Khalil served as the President of the Kano State Student Association (2021/2022) and was recognised as the Best CEO of the Year in 2019 for his exceptional leadership as the Founder of Yaro Group.
He also held the position of President of the Nigeria Disaster and Humanitarian Security Student Association (2018/2022), demonstrating his strong commitment to humanitarian causes. Despite the challenges posed by the Sudan war, Khalil chaired the Security and Safety Committee for students, ensuring their well-being and security.
