ABUBAKAR HARUNA GALADANCI

Abubakar Haruna Galadanchi began his career in 2007, shortly after the grand opening of Freedom Radio 99.5 FM, the first independent radio station in Northern Nigeria. He started as a News Assistant and later advanced to roles such as Sound Editor.

He also produced and presented several security and public enlightenment programs. Galadanchi is an Investigative Journalist known for exposing corruption among top government officials, security personnel, and judiciary staff. One notable case involved a judge suspected of misappropriating a large sum of money, which resulted in the judge losing his position after the report proved the allegations to be true in 2014.

With 16 years of experience in broadcasting, Galadanchi has worked as a Broadcast/Multimedia JournalistPresenter/Producer, and Reporter for crime and judiciary-related topics. In 2013, he transitioned to Express Radio, where he served as a Producer/Presenter for the magazine program Duniya Tumbin Giwa.

Four years later, he joined Aminci Radio, serving as the Head of Current Affairs from 2017 until November 2022. During his tenure, he pioneered the Idon Mikiya program, a five-day-a-week magazine show still running today.

Galadanchi has also covered significant events, such as the IDF special coverage at Giwa Barracks in Borno State in 2014, following a Boko Haram insurgent attack.

He attended Bayero University, Kano (2013-2017), where he earned a BSc in Mass Communication/Hausa and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Bergen, Oslo, Norway (2018-2020).

Galadanchi is passionate about ICT research and Internet backtracking, and he enjoys reading, especially books like “An Encounter with Spy the Master,” which focuses on the fight against Boko Haram insurgents.
